In an excellent presentation at the recent IFATS conference in Quebec City, Dr. Marcos Sforza presented his experience with 24 cases of using fat grafting to improve results and correct complications from breast implants, by adding fat grafting over the implants. Dr. Sforza is the senior plastic surgeon at Dola Park Hospital, part of the largest plastic surgery group in Europe. He presented cases where patients complained of various problems including asymmetry, capsular contracture, rippling, differences in size and shape and double bubble deformity. His results showed over 90% patient satisfaction with these procedures, and of course they were also pleased with the added benefits of body contouring liposuction. Their team used a similar fat grafting procedure ,using the Puregraft® system to purify the fat prior to grafting
